ISIS responsible for murder of 50 people in Orlando club

The Islamic State’s Amaq News Agency has announced that the terrorist group, ISIS is responsible for the shooting in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.On Sunday, the Islamic State media revealed that the shooter at the nightclub attack was a member of the ISIS terrorists.

According to reports, the shooter, Omar Mateen aged 29 years had walked into the gay nightclub which was packed with over 300 people and opened fire in the early hours of Sunday.Over 50 people have been confirmed dead by US authorities while another 53 remain severely wounded and in treatment.

Amaq had said, “The armed attack that targeted a gay night club in the city of Orlando in the American state of Florida which left over 100 people dead or injured was carried out by an Islamic State fighter.”Also, according to CNN reports, the shooter, Omar pledge allegiance to ISIS in a telephone call to 911 around the time of the shooting.Omar Mateen was eventually shot and killed by the police after a shootout.

“It appears he was organized and well-prepared,” Orlando Police Chief John Mina said at a Sunday-morning news conference. Mina revealed that Omar was well armed with an assault-type weapon and a handgun.
“This is an incident … that we certainly classify as a domestic terror incident,” Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said at the news conference even as he noted that the Federal Bureau of Investigation was already involved in the matter.”

This particular shooting is considered the worst mass shooting in the history of the United States of America.
