Remembering the Buni Yadi slain students

Exactly a year ago,about 59 boys where murdered in their dormitories while they slept by members of the militant bokoharam at the Federal Government College Buni Yadi,Yobe state.The militants threw explosives into dorm rooms and sprayed the rooms with gunfire. According to eye-witness account, 'some students who tried to climb out of the windows were slaughtered like sheep by the terrorists who slit their throats'. Others who ran were gunned down.Some of these boys where alledgedly kidnapped during the raid and twenty four buildings of the school were razed the ground. 

We remember these boys today because they were our brothers,sons and friends. They were future leaders of tomorrow cut in their prime abruptly. The gruesome murder of children on their quest for education and in such inhumane manner is certainly beyond human understanding. we might not understand how the pains of the families of the victims but we pray that justice prevails for the innocent blood that was shed.
